Tania’s book review on The Three investigators: The Mystery of The Dead man’s Riddle

Hello everyone! welcome to another book review. Today I am reviewing the mystery of the Dead man’s Riddle which out of 43 books is the 22^nd book of the series. So, Let’s see if the three investigators can unravel a riddle that is from a dead man!

I am sure by now you are familiar with Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Bob Andrews. Who are the three investigators, the junior detectives who live on Rocky beach near Hollywood. In this book, as usual, Jupiter and Pete were in the Jones Salvage Yard when Bob came running up to meet them. Bob reported that there was a challenge that the three investigators might be interested in. In the newspaper, there was a will that said that the man’s family would have half of a fortune that he had found, and the other half would be for the people who found it! In the will, there was a set of riddles you had to solve to find the fortune. After reding this will in the newspaper, Jupiter was very excited, immediately, they set of to the man of whom the will belonged to used to live. There, they found lots of eager treasure hunters digging everywhere. A few moments later, many of the treasure hunters started leaving, complaining that the riddles were too hard to solve, but the boys continued searching eagerly. But after some days of nothing but research, they too thought that the riddles were impossible. But Jupiter simply wouldn’t give up, so they investigate further. (I can’t tell you what happens next cause it’s where the plot twists come in.) but they solved the riddle in the end.

This book was okay, I mean, the plot twist was great, but other than that it was basically just Jupiter and the others trying to solve the riddle. So it wasn’t that exiting. That’s why I rate this book four stars only.

Well they solved the riddle alright. But I have to end this book report. It was nice telling you about another case for the three investigators. Unfortunately, this is where we part. Toodles!

Prompts:

If you can have a superpower, what power would it be?

How can you use the power to make the world a better place?

 

 

Hmmm…. This is a hard question. Sometimes I wish I could fly, and sometimes I wish I could turn invisible…. And sometimes I wish I could go back in time…... and sometimes I wish I could control nature. Since I am torn between all of them, lets begin the simple matter of elimination:

Flying won’t be much use to the world if I only have 1 choice of a superpower, so flying is eliminated,

Turning invisible will get boring after a time and won’t be much use to the world if I only have 1 choice of a superpower, so Invisibility is eliminated,

Going back in time could be very dangerous to those who don’t use it wisely and thus makes time traveling eliminated from this list.

So now we are left with the power to control nature, which means I can control water, conjure up trees and so on.  which I am very happy with because:

1.       I love nature

2.       It is not a dangerous superpower

3.       With this power, people will have a chance to appreciate and care for nature

Those are the reasons why I think having this superpower suits me. And here is how I can use it to make the world a better place:

1.       I can stop air pollution and water pollution, 

I can stop air pollution with the power to conjure up trees, I can stop water pollution because nature includes water, and I can stop  

2.       I can stop global warming and thus save endangered animals

Fun fact: did you know that polar bears are losing food because of global warming? because the temperature rises, seals and walruses are dying and they are the source of food for polar bears, so polar bears are starving.

3.       And people will finally start taking care of earth just as god wanted us to.

with this power, I will show people that we should take care of earth and everything that lives on it, and that way the world will be a very happy place for both humans , and animals 

So, you see, having this superpower will help me deliver an important message to people all over the world: That we should take care of nature more carefully because that is why God created us. Tania’s book review on The Three investigators: The Mystery of The Haunted mirror

Hello everyone! welcome to another book review. Today I am reviewing the mystery of the Haunted mirror which out of 43 books is the 21^st book of the series. So, let us see what the haunted mirror is haunted by! Is it a ghost? Or is it a phantom? Let’s find out!

I am sure by now you are familiar with Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Bob Andrews. Who are the three investigators, the junior detectives who live on Rocky beach near Hollywood.  This time, when they were riding in one of the salvage yards trucks when Jupiter sees a thief running away from a very big house. Pete, as the most athletic of the team, jumped to stop the thief. But when Pete tried to stop the thief, the thief gave a Pete a blow on his cheek. Unfortunately, the thief got away. But just then a very respectable looking woman emerged from the big house with two children following her. After explaining that the thief got away, Jupiter introduced himself and his friends to the lady. It turned out that the woman’s name was Mrs Darnley and the two children following her were her grandchildren who were called Jean and Jeff Parkinson. And then Mrs Darnley explained that the thief apparently hadn’t taken anything. Later, she invited them to come inside the house. When they went inside, they immediately realized that that every room except the kitchen was covered with mirrors of all shapes and sizes. Soon, they find out that Mrs Darnley has seen a ghost in a particular frightening looking mirror. Then Jupiter volunteers to keep watch on the mirror at night.  That night, Jupiter saw something so frightening that it made his whole body go rigid and make chills go up and down his spines. (if you want to see how scary it is, you can take a look at the picture next to this blog.) Later, they discover that Jeff has been kidnapped! They go to rescue him (I can’t tell you what happens next cause it’s where the plot twists come in.) but its okay in the end.

Thrilling, Griping, Mind-blowing. Those are the words to describe this book. I Loved it so much. Once again Robert Arthur Junior has worked his magic on me. I highly recommend this to everyone. Even though the cover looks scary don’t get fooled, it’s brilliant!

The three investigators have solved yet another case with incredible logic. But that miens I have to end this book report. But I solemnly promise we shall meet again. But for now, Keep your eyes open for anything suspicious. And if you do find anything suspicious, you know who to call on. Goodbye mystery lovers!

Hello everyone! welcome to another book review. Today I am reviewing the mystery of Monster mountain which out of 43 books is the 20^th book of the series. So, gather all of your courage as we peer into the frightening mystery of Monster mountain!

I am sure by now you are familiar with Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Bob Andrews. Who are the three investigators, the junior detectives who live on Rocky beach near Hollywood. This time, when going camping with Hans and Konrad, who are the two Bavarian brothers that help out in the jones salvage yard. They find out that Hans and Konrad have a cousin. A neat and tidy woman called Anna. But when they went to visit cousin Anna (that’s what Hans and Konrad call’s her) They find that she is not home and now runs an inn. Other than that, she is now married! With ought telling Hans and Konrad too! When she comes back, she act’s strange, she doesn’t want to speak in German with Hans and Konrad, she keeps sending Jupiter and the others on picnics, and her husband goes to a meadow in Monster mountain every day with a tranquilizer gun! Rumours go around saying there is a monster in Monster mountain and nobody dares to go up there anymore. When Jupiter and the others go to investigate, they find GIANT footprints on the ground. Then they separate, each boy going on their own. When Bob fall’s down, and picks himself up, He stairs into the glowing eyes of a monstrous figure with wild shaggy hair and gigantic fangs. After This exchange, Pete never wants to go back again. But If you know Jupiter, you know that giving him a good mystery to solve is like giving a juicy steak to a hungry bulldog. So, they investigate further. (I can’t tell you what happens next cause it’s where the plot twists come in.) but in the end There is a happy ending.

I love it I love it I love it! It’s so gripping, and you feel like you can never put it down! Anyone who loves puzzles and mysteries will regret not reading this book. The plot twists are so clever and carefully thought out that you will never guess what’s coming next! Not only that, the amazing Robert Arthur Junior makes the reader unsure of who to suspect, which makes the plot twist even more mind-blowing. It’s five stars all the way from me!

Congratulations! All those who have made it this far through the spine-chilling world of the three investigators. Sadly, this is where I say goodbye until the next adventure that presents itself to the 3 investigators. Don’t worry, that won’t take so long! Bye!

My Online Learning Experience

during Covid-19 Pandemic

ello, my name is Britannia Autumn Matakupan. But you can call me Tania. During this covid-19 pandemic, all our schools have switched to online learning. Now, when we switched to online class, everyone has different feelings right? Down below is my reflecting of my online learning experience. Enjoy!

Online learning takes time to get used to, but this is absolutely normal. As human beings, we need time to adjust to new surroundings and new situation. It’s like when going to a new school and not knowing where to go, who to talk to and so on. However, it is good to challenge yourself with new experiences because it will help you to adjust faster when you are in unusual surroundings. So online learning, although difficult, is very useful us all.

Online learning has been very hard and different for me. I didn’t know what to do in the beginning. I was confused for what should I click and what I shouldn’t. Over time, I got used to it and now I know what to do in most situations. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that when we are in school, we miss home. But when we are at home, we miss school… Yeah, it’s weird isn’t it? I am sure we all feel the same. That’s why there are things we like about online learning and things we don’t. 

For me, what I like about online learning is that when we work, we can nibble on something and the teachers don’t know until now (what? I’m being honest.) We can spend more time with our families than usual. But there are also a few things that I (and may be all of us don’t like). For me, it feels a bit lonelier than before. Mom and dad (who are lecturers) are very busy, and me as the only child, only has books as friends. Yes, I know it’s a bit sad. But it’s normal to feel this way. There are things we like and there are always things that we don’t like in any situation. That is just the way of life, you can’t have too much of a good thing. I am glad that during my online learning experience, my parents are always nearby to help me.

I think online learning is really working out for me. And I feel very happy about it. But if I had the power to change anything from the subjects to the meetings, I would change the way we interact. Our interaction during online learning are with google meetings and we talk about the subjects. But I think we should discuss more social things like our hobbies, play games, etc. The thing is, if we meet each other and we only discuss subjects, It feels as if online learning is only for learning and academic stuff and nothing else. When we are at school, we have recess and we get to talk about whatever we like. So, if we want online learning to feel like school, we should arrange a certain time to take a break from learning and chat with our classmates. I am not trying to say that online learning isn’t fun, because it is. I am just saying what I think would make it much better. Because if you do something and everyone says it’s wonderful, there is always room for improvement. There is always room (in mommy’s words) “to go an extra mile” it means that no matter how good something is, it can always be better. 

And with that thought in your head, I would like to end this assembly task with a big thank you to my parents who helped me to get inspiration and to all those who just finished reading this.
