Tania’s book review on The Three investigators: The mystery of the crooked cat

Hello everyone! welcome to another book review. Today I am reviewing the mystery of the crooked cat which out of 43 books is the 13th book of the series. So now let us not waste much time, let us begin investigating the three investigators the mystery of the crooked cat!

If you remember my last book review called the mystery of the laughing shadow (if you haven’t, I suggest you read that one first.) you are familiar with Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw, and Bob Andrews. Who make up the three investigators, the junior detectives who live on Rocky beach near Hollywood. This time a carnival comes to Rocky beach and someone tried to steal a peculiar looking stuffed cat. Luckily, Bob, Pete, and Jupiter cornered him, He escaped but they got the stuffed cat back and they returned it to the stand owner who quickly makes friends with them and let them try to win the cat, that turns out to be the first prize, Pete won the cat but then a lion escaped from it’s cage! Pete is able to calm it down but Jupiter is sure the lion was freed and did not escape by itself. When they go to the lion trainers’ tent to investigate, they find lock pick marks on the padlock. Jupiter is suspicious of someone, but with no definite proof, they can prove nothing. After a few more inquiries Jupiter is sure that there is something special about the stuffed cats, but when they discover that Pete’s stuffed cat is missing and go to discover more, they split up, Pete going on his own, and Bob with Jupiter. But when Pete comes to find them, he finds them locked in a room! He saves them than they take things more seriously, in the end, thanks to Jupiter’s logical brain, the villain is unmasked and another case is solved.

I loved this book, there were so many plot twist’s and it keep’s you at the edge of your seat. I would have given 5 stars but instead I gave it 4 because for me it could do with a little bit more laughter in it. But I still highly recommend this to anyone who loves mystery and puzzle books.

I feel a trifle sad of saying goodbye as I end my book review but I brighten up at thinking what adventure the three investigators will have next, well i shall soon find out, and when I do, I’ll make another report and we will meet again, but for now, goodbye brave adventurere’s! Be prepared for another adventure!
