Title not yet Decided (Part 4)

Hello again! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. I was a bit sick. Since I am now feeling a bit better, Here is part four. Wow! We are nearly done with the story! Anyway, I hope you enjoy part 4!

Mallie took Lucinda into the cottage. They passed the kitchen turned a corner, and went up a flight of stairs that Lucinda haven’t ever seen before. They went into a room painted a pale-yellow color. There was a grey cupboard in a corner and a whiteboard on the wall opposite the desk. There was a metal desk with a flaming red chair behind it.  Mallie told Lucinda to sit in a pastel blue stool opposite the red chair. Lucinda sat.

Lucinda noticed that those were the only thing s in the room aside from a stack of paper and a small slit window behind the red chair. Lucinda took a closer look on the Papers. On each paper there was a list of names including Lucinda’s and Amy’s.  Most of the names were Crossed out with red ink. Including Amy’s. But Lucinda’s Haven’t been Crossed out… Yet.

“Ahehem” coughed Mallie sternly.

Reluctantly and a tad nervously. Mallie had transformed back to her normal form. But she still looked stern. Lucinda Gulped.

“I hope you have a very good explanation on why you attempted to escape through the wall Lucinda” Said Mallie in a surprisingly relaxed voice.

Lucinda decided it was better to send the truth. So, Lucinda poured out everything to Mallie. How she found out about Amy, how she wanted to get away, etc. After Lucinda had finished. Mallie looked surprisingly happy.

“I’m Glad you told me all this Lucinda.” Said Mallie. Mallie noticed Lucinda glancing at the list of names. “Those are the list of names of the children who have stayed in my world as long as I was here.” Said Mallie Sadly. “Oh, I do miss them”

Lucinda was confused. “If you miss them, why are some names crossed out?” Lucinda blurted out. Then Mallie told Lucinda everything.

“When we see a kid that is exercising bad habits, they are brought up here. If they are still willing to be bad, they will choose to stay in my world, but those who want a second chance pick Bonnie’s World. However, if someone who picks to live here, in my world, they might want a third chance and attempt to escape to Bonnie’s world. And I let them. That means they no longer want to be bad kids anymore. and that is when I cross of their names. And then another child comes and takes their place.”

As Mallie paused for a breath, Lucinda asked “Then why did you try to stop me from going over the wall?”

“I wanted to test if you just went for the sake of going, or you really care about what was in the other side.” Replied Mallie. Mallie suddenly broke to a large smile. “And you really did care. That’s why I will let you go to Bonnie’s world.”

Lucinda Smiled too.

“But there is one condition” Said Mallie “Once you are on the other side of thee wall, you can’t come back to my world”

Lucinda thought for a while. She thought of the wonderfulness of Mallie’s world. Then she thought of Amy and how She could probably go back home through Bonnie’s world. She took a deep breath and said “I’ll go”

“Ok then” Said Mallie “Follow me” Mallie led Lucinda through the garden until they reached the wall. There, a purple vine could be seen as they got nearer.

“Hey! That wasn’t there before,” said Lucinda.

“The wall only opens if one of the cloud fairies allows it to open.” Said Mallie. “Would you like to do the honors?”

Lucinda nodded. She gave the vine a little tug, just as Mallie did before. And the vines separated.

Lucinda turned around to Mallie and said “Thanks. For teaching me not to be bad. I hope we will see each other again.”

“I hope so too” Said Mallie a little sadly. “Bye”

With a little wave, Lucinda walked through the separated ivy.

Mallie looked sad. For, unlike Lucinda, Mallie knew this was probably the last time they would see each other again.

“But she’s not all bad” Thought Mallie “She has a lot to learn. And she made a few bad decisions. But we will see what she does with the others.

That was the end of Part four everyone! I hope you enjoyed it! Please stay tuned for part 5 on Friday! Until then, Keep reading, and I'll see you all on Friday!

Title not yet decided (Part 3)

Hello Everyone! I hope you are ready to read part 3! I didn't Post on Sunday as I promised because of some family business. But I hope you enjoy Part three!

“The day before she disappeared, she was acting strangely. She didn’t go out to play except after lunch where she ran into the garden.” Thought Lucinda furiously. “She didn’t come back at night though. If I wasn’t as stupid as I was that night, going to bed early and only thinking of myself, I would Have noticed! But noooo. I was so STUPID and now she’s GONE! And it is MY FAULT!”

After thinking for a while, Lucinda concluded that Amy must have accidently gone to the other side of the wall and had gotten stuck there.

“I’ll go after her and bring her back!” Said Lucinda.

After a short lunch, Lucinda went out to play like she usually does. But about a few feet away from the cottage, she ran maximum speed to the wall. Mallie, seeing this yelled for her to stop.

But Lucinda didn’t stop. In fact, this made her run even faster! Her heart was pounding against her chest as if longing to get out. Her hair flying and flailing like a live thing, her legs were a blur, barely touching the ground as she sprinted toward the wall and reaching it in under two minutes.

She could feel and hear the noise of Mallie and the other kids Chasing after her. Her legs went stiff as she got ready for the stop. She stopped perfectly. But before she even had stopped properly, she was already looking for the dim orange vine.

But it wasn’t there. All the vines were exactly the same green colour.

“Come on, Come on, not now!” Panted Lucinda to herself. “Please Be here, please be here! I need to get out!” Her heartbeat skipped a beat and beat faster as she knew that Mallie and the others were getting closer as she could hear Mallie’s shouting,

“YOU WON’T GET AWAY! STOP RIGHT THERE! I’LL GET YOU!”

This only made Lucinda fumble to look for the vine. But it was no use. The vine just wasn’t there.

“I guess this is it” Thought Lucinda miserably to herself. “I guess I’ll stay here forever and I won’t ever get home.” Then Lucinda noticed that she actually cared about her mother and father.

“I could have spent so much time with them.” She thought. “Now I never will”

She even felt like she missed Sage. “She wasn’t that bad really.” She thought. “If we spent more time together, we could have been the best sisters! That was why I picked her out in the first place. I wanted a sister. But when I finally had one, I wished her away. Like the Stupid girl I am”

But Lucinda Couldn’t think any longer. Because at that moment, Mallie caught up to her.

Mallie had Changed. She had sprouted black bat-like wings. Her hair was flying, her eyes blazing like twin suns.

“You are in big trouble young Lady.” She said firmly.

That was the end of part three. I hope you enjoyed it! Please stay tuned for part Four tomorrow. Until Then, Keep reading! and I'll See you later!

Title not yet Decided (Part two)

Hello Everyone! This is part two of  my story. I will post everyday for two days and then there will be a one day gap. that will be my posting pattern for this story. And for all those people who has not read part one, Please go back and read it so you can understand the story more. so, with that out of the way, Let's Jump right in!

Mallie’s world was more wonderful than Lucinda could have ever imagined! there were trees and vines everywhere. The trunks of the trees and the vines were made of chocolate. The leaves of candied mint, the fruit of gummies, the soil of ground dark chocolate, rocks of cookies, and plants of gum. “Is that?... a River of milk?!” exclaimed Lucinda in awe of everything. Mallie said nothing. She only smiled.

Mallie led Lucinda to a cottage made of giant pastries. They went in through the door and went into a room that looked like a kitchen. They went through another room full of bunkbeds. In each of those bunkbeds there was a child Lucinda’s age. All the bunkbeds were full except for a bunkbed at the far-left side of the room. The bunkbed in that corner had a free space at the bottom part of the bunk. The top half was occupied by a someone.

“Amy!” Called Mallie. The girl in the bunk at the far left sat up, climbed down, and ran over to Mallie.

“Yes?” she said.

“Amy, this will be your new bunkbed buddy” Said Mallie.

“Hi” said Lucinda shyly.

“Hello!” said the girl. Sticking out her hand.

Lucinda took her hand and the girl started to pump her hand up and down vigorously.

“I’m Amy” said the girl between very energetic handshakes. “And you are?”

“Lucinda” gasped Lucinda, out of breath.

Lucinda’s arm felt like it could rip out of it’s socket any minute now. Which was not a very pleasant feeling.

“Pleased to meet you Lucinda” said Amy enthusiastically.

Mallie chuckled and said “Amy, I think you’re about to dislocate her arm”

“oh” said Amy. And stopped shaking Lucinda’s hand abruptly.

Leaving Lucinda with a numb feeling in her arm. “Ok then, it’s still very early so we should all go back to sleep” said Mallie and ushered Amy and Lucinda back into the bunkbed. Before Lucinda lay down on the bunkbed, Lucinda caught a glimpse of the clock. It was 10:00. But Lucinda was fine with it. Since she was very lazy.

At 2:00 everyone woke up and had some lunch. Then Mallie let them out and let them play. and then they were allowed to stay up as long as they liked.

This went on for two days. And in that space of time, Amy and Lucinda grew very close. Lucinda liked how Amy’s red hair frizzed around her honey face. And how her bright green eyes were never still.  But on the 3rd day, Lucinda noticed that they were not given any food for dinner. In fact, except for lunchtime, they weren’t given any food at all.

“Breakfast is fine.” thought Lucinda. “We just eat the plants outside if we are hungry. But… What about dinner?”

after realizing this, Lucinda started noticing other things that she over looked before. Believing this world was perfect.

One thing she noticed was no matter how much food the children ate in the garden, The next day the plants looked as if nothing had happened. The kitchen looked as if it was never used, they weren’t allowed to go near the wall, and slowly but surely, day by day, the number of children grew less and less. As if they had vanished into of thin air.

On the fifth day, Amy disappeared. Lucinda was very sad.

How could the children disappear Just like that? Surely if you disappear, you Reappear somewhere else? if so, where are they now? and where does all the other replacement children come from? Lucinda's head buzzed with these questions. Which she longed to know the answer. And yet she felt like she knew, but and the same time, not know. it was on the tip of her tongue yet she couldn't say it! Like when something is inches away but you just can't reach it. This was very frustrating. The frustration nearly drove Lucinda Mad!

She just couldn’t figure it out. Then she remembered that in history class, the teacher mentioned that in history, you must always think thoroughly before you acted or came to any conclusions.  So, Lucinda thought hard. Then, something went click. To Be Continued...

That was the end of part two! I hope you enjoyed it! Remember, there will be a one day gap between the posting. So I will be posting Part three on Sunday. Until then, Keep Reading! And I'll see you soon!

Title not yet decided. (Part one)

(Hello everyone! my mom and I are writing a story but we should use certain words in that story. The words that I chose will be in italic. This is part one of my story and I hope you like it. also, when the story is done, comment what you think the title should be. The one that I like the most will be the title for my story. Enjoy!)

Once upon a time, there lived a girl named Lucinda. She was the smartest person in her grade and was the prettiest girl in the whole school.

She was tall and had long straight brown hair with a small side fringe. Which she took extremely good care of. She had a beautiful oval shaped face that had glowing auburn skin. And her almond shaped eyes were such a bright hazel that they looked almost yellow. Which gave her a curious yet enchanting look.

She had a black cat named Luna and a doting mother and father. As Lucinda was their only child and she was pretty and smart. It wasn’t a surprised that they unknowingly spoiled her. Whenever Lucinda asked for anything, they gave way easily. This made her selfish and rude. But she wasn’t always this way.

When she was little, she was a sweet girl. Willing to help anybody and was so polite. She also believed in all sorts of things back then. Like angels and fairies. For in that time angels and fairies worked together to help God.

But not now. The 12-year-old Lucinda now didn’t even believe in God. Much less the angels and fairies. The Lucinda now was a girl that never took on responsibility and was always complaining.

One day she complained that She was lonely and needed a sister. And her parents, after considering this after a while, decided to co to the local orphanage and adopt a girl on the condition that once Lucinda had chosen one of the children, she couldn’t take her back to the orphanage if she didn’t like her. And Lucinda, hearing this, agreed. Smiling

So that very afternoon, they walked over to the orphanage half a mile away. There were a lot of kids there. And as Lucinda was the one who wanted a sibling, they let her talk to the children and choose one of them to be her sister.

Lucinda thought of a sibling as someone to support you in doing whatever you are doing good or bad, sharing secrets, and being partners in crime. After seeing so many Selena’s and sallies and Maddie’s and other girls, Lucinda finally chose a girl named Sage.

But the funny thing is, Lucinda didn’t even talk to sage. She just chose her because of her looks. Which wasn’t a surprise because since Lucinda was the prettiest so she usually just judged people based on their looks.

Sage was medium height, had long wavy black hair and ivory skin, and had dark brown eyes that were quick and snappy. So, in the end, sage got chosen as Lucinda’s new sister. But Sage wasn’t the sneaky girl that Lucinda thought she would be.

In fact, she was quite the opposite. Sage was kind, caring and wise with her decisions. Sage tried to tell Lucinda to not be selfish and even tried to help Lucinda with her manners to improve them. But as time passed, Lucinda grew to dislike Sage and her kind ways. Lucinda’s Parents however, loved sage more than Lucinda ever did. They still gave in to Lucinda. But they looked happier when talking to or spending time with sage.

Lucinda started to teas Sage for her good deeds and laughed whenever Sage tried to reason with her. But after all those years of being clearly disliked by Lucinda, Sage still tried to reason and spend time with the now 14-year-old Lucinda. But this mad Lucinda resent her even more.

“When will this silly 12-year-old learn to give up bothering me?” thought Lucinda to herself.

And Lucinda, knowing that she couldn’t bring Sage back to the orphanage, came up with a plan. That night, she looked up at the stars and wished that Sage would disappear to another Country, no. Another continent, no. to above the SKY! Now satisfied with her wish, went to sleep.

The next day, she wasn’t  familiar with her surroundings. Her mind also felt blank. Her whole body felt a weird sensation. Almost like she was floating. She stood up woozily.  And then her memory went black. When she opened her eyes, she was in the exact same spot she was standing before. As if nothing had happened.

Then she looked up, she saw two fairies. One was a redhead with a button up purple blouse with a green shorts. And the other Was a blond and had a neon orange shirt with a puffy brown skirt. Both of them were smiling.

“Who are you?” asked Lucinda sleepily. One by one, the two fairies introduced themselves.

“My name is Bonnie” Said the fairy in the blouse and shorts.

“and my name is Mallie” Said the fairy in the shirt and skirt.

“And we are the Fairies of the clouds” Said them both in unison.

“What do you mean?” Said Lucinda beginning to come to.

“We are above the Clouds right now.” Said Bonnie. “But this world above the clouds is divided into two worlds. I am Responsible for one world-“

“And I rule the other” interrupted Mallie. “And Since you will be staying here for a while, You are allowed to choose which of the worlds you want to stay in.”

“ Ooh!” Said Lucinda. Now fully awake. “Tell me more about them!”

“Well,” said Bonnie “in my world, everyone works hard all day and then when the day is done, they are rewarded for their hard work.”

“But in my world,” said Mallie “everyone has fun all day and when the sun has set, everyone comes home for a good night sleep.”

Lucinda thought for a while. “hmm..” Thought Lucinda. “Bonnie did say that they would give a reward and the end of the day… But who wats to work all day? On the other hand, in Mallie’s world, I can enjoy myself all I want.” And Lucinda, being Lucinda, Chose to go to Mallie’s World.

“Are you quite sure?” Asked Bonnie.

“Yes” Replied Lucinda.

Then, Mallie took her by the hand and walked with her to her world. On the way, Lucinda caught a glimpse of Bonnie’s world. Bonnie’s world was full of fields and rolling hills. Where Children Lucinda’s age sowing seeds, watering them, fetching pails of water, and picking ripe fruits and vegetables. Lucinda also noticed that they were sweating heavily. But to Lucinda’s surprise, They seemed completely happy.

But Lucinda had no time to wonder why they were so happy with their heavy work. Because Mallie and Lucinda came to a huge wall built of grey stones that had an ominous yellow glow radiating from them. Here and there the wall was encrusted of jewels of all shapes and sizes. And the edges of the wall was covered in creeping ivy. It was so breath taking that it took several nudges from Mallie to get Lucinda’s attention.

Mallie pointed to a bunch of vines hanging down from the wall. Lucinda then noticed that there was a dim orange vine among all the other green vines that Lucinda was sure wasn’t there before.  Mallie gave the orange vine a little tug and all the vines parted.

“Come on!” Said Mallie excitedly. Lucinda followed Mallie through the opening in the wall. What was on the other side was so amazing that Lucinda didn’t notice that  the vines closed behind them. Dun, dun duuun! (That was for dramatic effect. Lucinda didn’t really hear that sound)  To Be Continued....

Anyway That was the end of part one. I apologize for any grammar mistakes or awkward word choice that I might have made. I hope you enjoy part one and please stay tuned for part Two!

Clara and The Hair Elves

(Hi everyone! It has been a long time since I updated my blog. I was focusing on my school work. But I am back now. I want to share with you a story I recently wrote. This is the original story of a story I submitted for a competition. The competition asked for a bahasa Indonesia story but I find it diffuclt to wite in Bahasa Indonesia so I write it first in English. So here's the original story that I will later translate to English. I hope you like this version as well. Enjoy!)

In a small village, not far from where you live now, there lived a girl named Clara. She was quite tall, had long blonde hair, and was a relatively nice girl. But she had one problem. She didn’t take care of her hair!

You see, Clara preferred to have her hair open. Normally, this is usually this quite harmless. But after playing, Clara didn’t brush or tie her hair. As a result, her hair was full of tangled bits and had a wild look about it. She also didn’t wash her hair as often as she should. And if she did was her hair, she didn’t dry it very well. So in the end, her hair smelled damp and unpleasant.

Clara’s mom, Ava, used to warn her. “Clara! Take care of your hair for goodness’s sake! One day the Hair Elves will come for you just as they did in my day! And then you’ll be sorry!”.

But Clara didn’t listen. “Pooh! Hair Elves don’t exist anyway! I’ll just take care of my hair later!”.

Clara was always saying that. She promised again and again that she would take care of her hair afterwards. But she never did. So, one day, the Hair Elves, seeing this, agreed to teach Clara a lesson. That night, when Clara was fast asleep, again with her hair open, the elves crept into her room. They quickly got to work tying and fluffing Clara’s hair into a frenzy of knots and tangles. Satisfied with their work, the Elves flew away back to their home.

The next morning, the moment Clara opened her little blue eyes and stretched herself, she looked into the mirror. She was so horrified by the tangles, frizzy bunch atop her head that once was her hair, that she screamed a horrified scream.

The scream was so loud that her mother came rushing into the room. When Clara’s mom saw Clara’s hair, she let out a gasp and said “Clara, sit down on the carpet, I will fix your hair.”

Clara did as she was told. Clara’s mother brushed it, and combed it, and washed it, and dried it, and brushed it again, and straightened it, and oiled it, and lots of other things.

Soon Clara’s hair was back to normal. And by normal I mean before it was tangled up.

Oh her hair was beautiful! It was long and shiny and smooth. Clara thought it was so beautiful that she should leave it open to show off.

Soon it was back to what it was before. A tangled mess.

But Carla thought that it was fine. “I’ts just the way it was before. Why waste time fixing it? It will go back to being messy anyway.” Said Carla.

Carla’s mom was so shocked.

“Carla!” She gasped. “I thought you would learn your lesson!”.

But Carla didn’t learn her lesson. In fact Carla thought that since her hair was already tangled, she didn’t need to worry about the hair elves anymore.

But Clara was WRONG! The Hair Elves saw that she still didn’t learn her lesson. So the leader of the Hair Elves decided to do something that has never bean done before!....

Tangle someone’s hair for the SECOND time!

When he told the other elves about his idea, they were very surprised considering that this has never been done before. But nevertheless, that night, the Hair Elves snuck into Clara’s room once more.

This time, they made it even more tangled. There were layers upon layers upon layers of frizziness and the tangles were everywhere!

They tangled her hair so much that it was a huge mass of tangles and frizziness. They then tangled those tangles together and tied them to the bedposts, the lamp, the desk, and everything the hair could reach.

When they were done, they stood back and admired their work.

“That will surely make her learn her lesson” Said one of the Hair Elves.

“That will take months to brush out!” Chirped one of the younger Hair elves gleefully.

“It would be a miracle if she even could brush it out” Said the Chief Hair Elf in an amused tone.

All the other elves agreed and, now satisfied with their work, went back to their home. Clara was still fast asleep and didn’t even know that the Hair Elves had been there at all.

The next morning, Clara couldn’t get up from her bed. She tugged and struggled and struggled and squirmed, but she couldn’t get up.

“MOOM!! Come quick!” She yelled.

And Clara’s mom, thinking something must be wrong, ran upstairs as quickly as she could. When she saw Clara with her huge mass of hair, she was very surprised.

“Oh Clara,” She said with a sigh “Why didn’t you learn your lesson the last time. Now look what happened!”

Clara didn’t say anything. She was sorry now that she didn’t listen to her mom.

After a few failed attempts to untie Clara’s hair, Clara’s mother finaly said

“I’m afraid we will have to cut it. There is no other way.”

“No!” Said Clara. “I like my hair like this! I don’t want to cut it!”

“There is no other way. Unless you want to stay in this bed forever. Do you want that?” Replied Clara’s mom.

“n..n…no..” muttered Clara. “but…”

“no buts Clara.” Said Clara’s mom.

 “Ok” Said Clara meekly.

Clara’s mom got out  some super sharp scissors and…

Snip!, snap! Snip! Clara’s hair was cut off.

In the end, she had hair so short it looked like it wasn’t there.

Having now learnt her lesson, she promised to herself and her mom that from that day on, she would take care of her hair.

And she kept her promise. After a few years, her hair grew back. But she still took care of it. And as long as she lived, the Hair Elves never bothered her again. --- THE END
